It's Thursday already...

My hockey weekend preview is up at EI as the men battle UNH this weekend in a home-and-home.

Grant has posted part 2 of what will be a long series of retrospective videos from last year's national championship team. Here, he presents highlights from the best game I've ever attended in person - BC's 5-4, 3 OT win over UNH in last year's Hockey East semifinals.

As I told him, no highlight video of that game is complete without the penalty (forget who it was on) in OT. The UNH player broke his stick, threw it at a BC player and then went for that player's knees. The best part = seeing UNH complain about the call.

This was a great game although I felt bad for Regan. He was an excellent goaltender all year, despite the score he made some outstanding saves, but by the OT his defense and offense just gave up on him.

  • Football, 10/26/07 - BC rallies with two touchdowns in the last 2:11 to win at Virginia Tech and maintain their #2 ranking. Students spill out of the dorms and have an impromptu celebration all over campus. What a night. WOW.
  • Men's Hockey, 3/30/08 - BC scores 3 goals in 1:58 to come from an 0-2 deficit to a 3-2 lead late in the 2nd against Miami in the NCAA regional final.
  • Men's Hockey, 3/30/08 - Joe Whitney's ridiculous diving goal sends BC to the Frozen Four, beating Miami 4-3 in OT.
