BC women's hockey lost to BU last night, 4-1, to fall out of the 4th and final Hockey East playoff spot with just two games to go.
I rushed back after the game to watch the end of the BC-UNH game. We were down 3-1 then and we wound up losing 5-1. BC's back to 4th in the Hockey East standings.
Gah. Not good. I'm still stinging.
I don't really have the heart or the desire to discuss anything about either game. I just wanna crawl in a hole and not discuss hockey at all until Friday, when the women and the men play a sort of day-night doubleheader at home against Providence College.
Yesterday's bright spot? The baseball team swept their season-opening doubleheader against Georgia Southern and hit 10 HR in the process (yes, 10).
But I'm looking out my window now and there's a half a foot of snow on the ground. I can't really think much about baseball. It's very much hockey time. And if my hockey hopes for this year come down to just the Bruins.... eh, let's not even go there.
